About us
Leeds Endometriosis Community is an independent, patient-led peer support and campaign group for people with endometriosis and the people who support them.
We know what it’s like to wait, to be told it’s “just a bad period”, and to feel like you’re the only one. You’re not.
[Sam’s wording for the About intro]
Three volunteers, all living with endometriosis, fitting this around work, life and flare-ups.

Initials stand in until we have collage portraits or illustrations of each of you.
Sam and Vicky joined the White Fox Talking podcast (episode 93) to talk about years of pain and misdiagnosis, the fight to be heard, and building a patient-led community in West Yorkshire.
Listen to the episodeContent warning: this episode discusses suicide, miscarriage, infertility, mental health and substance misuse.
We started in Leeds, but our members come from right across Yorkshire. If you live with endo anywhere in the county, or you support someone who does, you’re welcome.
Endometriosis affects women, trans men, non-binary and intersex people. Our group is for all patients, and for the partners, family and friends who back them up.
Most of what we do happens in our Facebook group. Pop in, introduce yourself, or just read along until you’re ready.
